I am fructose, lactose, gluten-free, and have IBS! Erica helped me in so many ways. She helped me follow the Fodmap diet and introduced some new foods for my diet that I could have. She also got me moving. I go to the gym regularly and I have cut back on my intake of beer and both of those were HUGE for me.
I highly recommend Erica for seeing a dietitian. I have told so many people about her. She makes you feel comfortable and she is there to improve your health. The best is she even text me on weekends to make sure I was doing good and helped encourage the busy weekends! She cares and believes in you! She really is the best!
"Prior to working with Erica I was overwhelmed with different “fads”, not sure how to balance the extremes. I wasn’t sure what advice to follow and what would be best for me, in order to meet my personal goals. I was depriving myself of so many things in order to be “healthy” and I could not have been further away from that.
"Erica helped educate me on the misconceptions of all the fad/extreme diets and took it back to the basics for me. Helping me understand the fundamentals of nutrition and the importance of listening to my body. I have such a better relationship with not only food but also with myself because of Erica. She also helped me establish a regular fitness routine and taught me about the best practices for my goals. Seeing physical changes has been a huge boost for me but the positive impact on my overall health, including mental and emotional health have been even greater. I attribute all of that success to Erica and her guidance. My quality of life has improved so much and those closest to me have seen the positive changes too, not just physically.
"Don’t hesitate, at first I wasn’t sure about sharing my obsessions and worries and I also wasn’t sure about paying someone to tell me what I thought I knew however working with Erica has been an investment in my health and she corrected everything I “thought I knew”. You won’t regret having someone like Erica in your corner, the motivation and support I receive is so valuable and I know without her I would still be caught in the same vicious cycle."
I was having various stomach symptoms associated with what I ate. I figured out that I had a fructose intolerance and needed guidance on how to figure out what I can and can’t eat in order to be symptom-free.
I was having a hard time figuring out what foods were triggering my symptoms and didn’t know how to go about tracking that. I had some ideas about triggers, but they were never consistent enough for me to narrow it down to a specific item. I also wasn’t aware of all the symptoms I was having because I got used to dealing with them.
Erica walked me through what possible symptoms I could be having and what they were caused by. She helped me gauge which symptoms were worse than others and why that might be. She then introduced me to the low FODMAP diet and explained the process of this diet and why it is effective. She worked with me to determine what I can and can’t eat and gave me a multitude of resources to set me up for success on this diet. After I finished the elimination phase, she introduced me to the reintroduction phase and walked me through this process, explaining what my role in this was. Due
to Erica’s help, I now feel confident in my ability to identify my symptoms and associate them with certain foods.
After the first week of my new diet, I realized that I was almost completely symptom-free and was still able to eat food that I liked. I hadn’t felt symptom-free in months and was thankful for the relief provided by her insight and a change in my diet.
I can do more of what I want without having to worry about my stomach hurting or needing to urgently use the restroom. I have more energy and am more confident in my ability to control how I feel instead of waking up every day not knowing if I will be sick or not. This has been a huge turning point in my life and I am so thankful to Erica for helping me get here!
